Owen Clutterbuck won the £80 prize at the tournament today at Nantymoel beating Ryan Owen in the final.
Ryan won the first 2 sets 11-0 and 11-7 to command the attention of the crowd. With him at 9-9 in the 3rd lots thought it was 'game over'.
Owen then rallied back 11-9 and 14-12 to level the tie.
Ryan played some good points in the 5th set turning ends at 5-3, but lost his 2 serves to reach 7-7.
It was the nerve of Clutterbuck which brought him through the 5th set winning 12-10 in a very close encounter.
Ethan Lewis won the consolation event beating Carys Webster in the final 3-0.
