In Talks...

Wales are in talks with the Maldives Association about the possibility of training there for a week prior to the Commonwealth Championships in May next year. Table Tennis Wales has a great friendship with the TTAM since senior men players played their 50th anniversary event in 2011.

Dragon Event

The under 9's got the day off to an excellent start and although there were only 6 entries, a round robin provided them with the maximum playing time and the standard was very good....... Results: 1 Louie Evans 2 Mithun Padmanabhan 3 Anna Hursey 4 Lara Whitton 5 Ieuan Morgan 6 Estelle Kelly......

The Under 11's continued with initially 3 groups of 4 and again provided a very good standard of play..... The playoff's consisted of 4 groups of 3 which produced the following results. 1 Darian Eynon 2 Rhys Evans 3 David Avery 4 Mithun Padmanabhan 5 Louie Evans 6 Lauren Stacey 7 Anna Hursey 8 Ieuan Morgan 9 Lara Whitton 10 Sophie Cunningham 11 Danielle Kelly 12 Estelle Kelly ....................

Many of the players in the younger groups willingly accepted the challenge to play in the Under 13 to make up the numbers. Again with 12 players the same format as the under 11's was used and the standard was again really high. Results:

1 Lydia John 2 Bethany Brewer 3 Louie Evans 4 Joshua Stacey 5 Rhys Evans 6 Jack Mullins 7 Jamie Lee Harley 8 Matthew Pearce 9 David Avery 10 Ben Pearce 11 Anna Hursey 12 Danielle Kelly
