9 candidates took the TTAW leaders award this evening with a great field in attendance. The award, which now has the backing of Sports Leaders UK, helps coaches take the first step into a coaching career

Match vs Midlands
National Coach Ryan Jenkins took 8 youngsters to Burton Uxbridge on Saturday 26th May to train and compete against the English Midlands regional team
After an intense 2hr session, which was followed by a break, the players got ready to do battle.
The first set of matches saw Wales move into a commanding situation with a great 18-2 win.
A quick drinks break then had the players
switch around and play another team. There was no let up from the Welsh warriors and they won that 11-1.
Final score Wales 29 Midlands 3
Well done to Chris Griffiths, Callum Evans, Jac Jenkins, Ryan Oyler, Laura Edwards, Caitlin Williams, Kate Roberts and Charlotte Slye.
Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd June sees the opening of the new table tennis academy which is Cardiff City Table Tennis Club
CCTTC will hold a 2 day opening weekend which is free for players to sample

Tipton GP
Ryan Jenkns will lead a strong Welsh squad to the last Grand Prix of the season in Tipton at the beginning of June
Several players are in the hunt for the overall prize fund in their respective categories. Ryan is number 1 seed for the men's open and is just a slight 1.5 points ahead of rival Gavin Rumgay in the race for the Grand Prix Championship

Charlotte is Ambitious
Charlotte Carey didn't make the Olympic team, however the 15 year old has made the Olympic ambitions programme where 3 players will sample the Olympic life during the big spectacular in July and August
Certain conditions will need to be met for the players. Charlotte has been chosen as she is a future prospect for Rio in 2016 and beyond
This is a fantastic results for Charlotte, her family and Welsh table tennis

TTAW 5 a side football
On the 25th May the TTAW will hold the first 5 a side match - coaches vs players at the Power League venue just off manor way in Cardiff 6-7pm
After we shall eat at the carvery across the road and have a drink to celebrate another great season for the TTAW

This weekend in Cardiff the best of the U11, U13 and Vets will bash it out to see who will be the champion of Wales for their age group
