Welsh Selections to happen soon...
6 Nations - Ireland
The Welsh Team will travel to Limerick via Shannon airport to play the 6 nations tournament next weekend.
Beth Roberts & Charlotte Carey (cadet girls), Lewis Williams & Conor Edwards (cadet boys), Angharad & Megan Phillips (junior girls), Alex Prosser & Dan O'Connell (junior boys) will compete against England, Scotland, Ireland, Guernsey & Isle of Man in the 3 day event.
Can Lewis Williams go one step further this season and win the cadet boys singles? Will Charlotte make the double and add Gold to her British schools win last July? Can the twins take on England? and could Dan (fresh from Sweden) spring a surprise in the JB's?
Beth will be looking to add a medal to her British Schools Gold, as Conor will be with the silver he won in Limerick last July. Alex, in his first British event will be keen to show the event why he is there.
Results to follow...
Welsh Squad Training in Pontypridd
On Friday the 4th March, the Welsh squad moved their session to train at the Pontypridd table tennis academy. The venue is ideal for players to access as it's central, plus the facilities and equipment is of a very high standard. With 8 tables available plus a working weights gym, players have all they need to progress.
A new Welsh B squad session will start in Pontypridd soon to offer players just below the Cardiff groups a chance to get better training.

Belgium Super League
Playoffs
PW Diest claimed their spot into the Semi Finals of the Belgian Super League with another win against Vedrinamur in the playoffs. Diest won 5-2 with 2 wins in the singles for Ryan Jenkins and a doubles win to boot. Chen and Davy won 1 singles each also.
3 days later the team went to European Champions Villette Charleroi with an optimistic mind set. With Chen beating Danchenko and RJ just losing to number 1 Jung 9-11 in the 4th set things were tight. At 2-2 in the doubles there was a chance, but Villette sniffed it out and the only other win came with RJ beating Danchenko 3-1. Chen did have a good chance versus Gacina (HVR) at 2-2 and 5-3 but the world number 55 came good to make the 5-2 win clear enough in the end.
The 2 legs of the Semi Finals against Virton will take place at the end of March...
